I have made another small change to the style which I would like considered for inclusion in the next release.

In responsive mode, the style has removed all of the buttons from the navbar header, I think because there is not room for them all on a small screen. This can make it more difficult to navigate the forum on a phone because you have to go to the menu each time.

I realised that even on a phone there is room for 2 or 3 buttons in each row without overflowing the screen width, so I have restored the ones I think are most useful.

You can see the results at https://frenchcarforum.co.uk/forum/index.php (on a small screen or reduced-width browser).

Do you think that this is an improvement to the style?

I have tried a different approach. I have reinstated all of the header buttons in the responsive view, but on small screens the button text is truncated and padding reduced so that everything fits.

It should display nicely on an iphone 4 or anything bigger.

Eample again at: https://frenchcarforum.co.uk/forum/index.php

Having had positive comments from my users, I am happy with these changes and have added them to my PR.

On Saturday I will review your changes and possibly release an update of my styles. ;)

We noticed an instance of bad formatting today:

Have deleted history, cache, etc.
This is what I'm getting on both iPad and Win7 PC...

I can see it here, but only with a screen width of about 993 to 1172 pixels. I will see what needs to be done.

I fixed it by adding at the bottom of common.css:

Code: Select all

.topic-poster{
	display: inline;
}

.pagination {
   	 float: right !important;
	margin-top: 0px !important;
}
but I am not sure that there are no side-effects.

Any screenshot with this problem?

In the post above!!

The problem can be seen when a search results topic has many pages and the screen width is gradually reduced.
